What's New for the 2022 Ford Edge SEL?
The Ford Edge is well-known among West Virginia’s drivers for delivering an all-around excellent driving experience. In 2022, it will continue to be available in five trims. These include the SE, SEL, ST-Line, Titanium, and ST trims. For drivers who are looking for optimized value in a well-equipped SUV, the Ford Edge SEL does not disappoint. The automaker has introduced several thoughtful updates to the Edge SEL for the 2022 model year.
On the exterior, the 2022 Edge SEL has been slightly retouched to elevate its modern appeal. Its shape is easy on the eyes with a gentle descent through the roof and a well-defined hood that rounds out as it flows toward the grille. The grille, foglight ports, and side windows are outlined in chrome. The headlights have a contemporary feel with a sharp LED element bending across the top and outer flanks. The SEL trim is now available with the new Adventure package. This trim adds black and gray accents, all-terrain tires, and 18-inch wheels with a carbonized finish.
On all trims, the 2022 Ford Edge now has standard all-wheel drive. The SEL trim will impress you on the road with its 2.0-liter turbocharged, four-cylinder engine. This engine generates 250 horsepower and comes with an automatic eight-speed transmission.
Inside the SEL, the optional Adventure package gives you ActiveX faux leather seats. In this and other trims, the Edge now displays a 12-inch touchscreen in its center stack. The SEL’s carryover features include heated and power-adjustable front seats, a SecuriCode entry keypad, a nine-speaker sound system, a dual-zone climate control system, Apple CarPlay with Android Auto, push-button starter, auto high beams, lane keeping, blind-spot monitoring, and forward collision mitigation. The SEL is also available with optional packages like the Convenience package and Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+.
