Serving Grafton, WV

The Ford Escape is a compact crossover that has attracted local drivers' attention across four generations. Between the 2022 and 2023 model years, Ford has introduced exciting improvements that elevate the Escape's solid appeal. What will you uncover about the Escape when you compare the 2022 and 2023 model years?

Performance

In 2023, the Ford Escape's trim lineup changed. The trims now include the base, the Active, the PHEV, the ST-Line, the ST-Line Selection, the ST-Line Elite, and the Platinum. While the trim lineup has been modified, the four powertrains offered in the 2022 Escape continue to be available in the 2023 model year. The base engine is a 180-horsepower, turbo, 1.5-liter, three-cylinder engine with optional all-wheel drive. The higher trims have a turbo 2.0-liter, 250-horsepower engine with standard all-wheel drive. The two available powertrains are a 2.5-liter hybrid, a 192-horsepower system, and an alternative PHEV that generates 210 total horsepower.

Appearance

The 2023 Ford Escape shows off a redesigned front end and improvements to the rear style. The new look includes a reshaped, larger grille with metallic accents on the sides. The bumper has been restyled with a metallic strip, and the deep-seated air vents add a confident touch. The headlights also have a new look with a pair of U-shaped LED ribbons topped by a solid LED bar. At the rear, you will find a liftgate spoiler, a molded bumper, and edgy headlights with a double-element design.

Features

The most significant update inside the cabin for the 2023 model year is the new Sync 4 system. This system is paired with a redesigned central display screen. While some of the features have been reshuffled to different trim levels, the carryover features have not changed. Some of these are a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, an automated parking system, a panoramic sunroof, a tow package, a wireless charging pad, adaptive cruise control, a navigation system, a surround-view camera, memory settings for the driver's seat, a digital instrument panel and other gear.
