Ford's impressive lineup of crossover SUVs includes the popular Escape, and it all begins with this exceptional model. As Ford's most budget-friendly crossover, the Escape offers outstanding features and striking style, making it an attractive choice for value-conscious shoppers. In 2024, the compact crossover comes with several updates, and our team at Toothman Ford in Grafton, WV, is here to provide you with comprehensive information about the latest model year.
For the 2024 model year, the base trim level has been retired, leaving you with an array of options to choose from: Active, PHEV, ST-Line, ST-Line Select, ST-Line Elite, and Platinum. The lower trim levels are equipped with a turbocharged three-cylinder 1.5-liter engine generating 180 horsepower, paired with an automatic eight-speed transmission. You have the choice of both front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations. On the other hand, the higher trim levels come with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 250 horsepower, paired with standard all-wheel drive. Additionally, there's a 192-horsepower hybrid 2.5-liter engine and a 210-horsepower four-cylinder plug-in hybrid system with one electric motor.
The 2024 model year introduces a new exterior color option for the Ford Escape: Race Red. Its exterior design features a sleek and flowing appearance, highlighted by a confident profile and well-defined contouring on the door panels. The black hexagonal grille boasts an innovative mesh design, and the chrome accent bar at the top of the grille extends to connect with the LED-outlined dual-element headlights. Depending on the trim level you select from the seven available, your Escape may feature 17-inch wheels or larger, a power liftgate, tinted rear windows, skid plates, LED fog lamps, heated side mirrors, and various other enhancements.
Opting for the 2024 Escape ST-Line Elite or Platinum trim levels means your crossover SUV will now come standard with a push-button starter. If you choose the Escape Active, your new Ford will feature forward collision mitigation, an 8-inch infotainment system screen, onboard Wi-Fi, wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone automatic climate control, satellite radio, rear USB ports, and more. The higher trims can include additional features such as evasive steering assist, lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and more.
