Two trims are available for 2010--SE and SXT. Both feature a 3.7L V6 producing 210 hp and 235 ft-lb of torque, with standard 4-speed automatic transmission putting that power to the ground. A 4.0L V6 making 260 hp and 265 ft-lb of torque is optional on the SXT and is mated to a 5-speed automatic. Both SE and SXT models are available in either 2- or 4-wheel drive form. Interactive Decel Fuel Shut Off (iDFSO), which reduces fuel consumption when it detects the vehicle is slowing down.
The 2010 Nitro has 65 cubic feet of space when the back seats are folded down. One popular feature is the Load 'n' Go cargo floor that slides 18 inches rearward for loading and unloading.
